Arsenal ideally wants to make four more summer transfers - The Athletic

In the current transfer window, London's Arsenal have already arranged the transfers of 19-year-old right winger Sao Paulo Marquinhos and 22-year-old Porto playmaker Fabio Vieira, but the work of the "gunners" to strengthen the staff is not completed and ideally four more transfers are planned.

According to The Athletic, they are Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, Leicester central midfielder Yuri Tillemans, Leeds United winger Rafinho and Ajax left-footed central defender Lisandro Martinez, who may also close the left flank.

First of all, Arsenal is trying to close the deal on Jesus. The £ 50m needed by the City, as well as the player's financial situation, is not a problem for the Gunners.

As for Tillemans, his signing depends on whether he leaves the Granite Jack team. For the Belgian himself, there is no problem to stay another year in Leicester, and then change the club's registration as a free agent. The £ 25 million now demanded by the Foxes is also not a problem for the London club.

Rafinha's transfer largely depends on whether Nicolas Pepe, whom Arteta does not count on, stays at Arsenal. The 25-year-old Brazilian is being considered to replace the Ivorian, but the "gunners" would like to recoup a certain amount from his record transfer in the person of Pepe.

By signing center-back Lisandro Martinez of Ajax, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta would like to add depth and versatility to the squad. The 24-year-old Argentine can play as a left-back and left-back. Given that Nuno Tavares may be on loan, the Gunners will need a competitor for Kiran Tirni on the left flank. It is noted that Ajax has already rejected Arsenal's first offer of about 30 million euros for Martinez.
